At the distinctive Barley Room, located within the historical precincts of Milwaukee's Brewery District, an event unfolded, recognizing the commitment and servitude of local leaders to the community. Among those honored was Milwaukee County Board's Second Vice Chairwoman and 13th District Supervisor, Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones. Dubbed a "Person of Greatness," Coggs-Jones was celebrated at the Portraits of Greatness Art Affair hosted by Ego the Artist, as reported by Milwaukee County.
Expressing her sentiment at the grand occasion, Coggs-Jones was quoted in the statement asserting, "It was truly humbling to be recognized in this way. I work on behalf of my constituents each day with a deep sense of responsibility, and to be honored for that work by the community I serve is incredibly moving." Alongside Coggs-Jones, other distinguished local leaders were similarly feted, with Mayor Cavalier Johnson and Cecelia Gore being among them, spearheading efforts to uplift Milwaukee's community spirit, as reported by Milwaukee County.
Lauded with a congregation consisting of creatives, policymakers, and influential Milwaukeeans, the occasion also saw Coggs-Jones extend heartfelt appreciation towards her support system. According to a statement obtained by Milwaukee County, she thanked her family for their unwavering support and reflected on her profound heritage, "I honor the legacy and continue to build upon the foundation laid by my grandparents. They were history makers in every sense, and I stand as a living testament to their vision—the realization of their wildest dreams."
