
The Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary in Minneapolis is reopening for its 118th season on Tuesday. Starting at 7:30 a.m., visitors can enjoy the return of spring in one of the city's most loved green spaces, filled with blooming wildflowers and local wildlife.
The garden will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with extended hours until 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays through the end of August. The season runs from April through October.
A wide range of free programs will be available, with no registration required. Daily guided tours will be offered, along with special Thursday evening events. Some highlights include Early Birders on Saturdays, evening walks on Thursdays in May and June, Knitting in Nature on select Thursdays, and Nature Storytime & Activities starting May 1 (Thursdays) and May 18 (Sundays).
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board encourages visitors of all ages to join these programs and enjoy the garden’s peaceful atmosphere. More events will be announced throughout the season, and updates can be found on the Park Board’s website or through email alerts.
