The city of Minnetonka has put out a call for residents willing to step up and serve on the board of commissioners for the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission (BCWMC). This commission plays a crucial role in safeguarding the waterways of the Bassett Creek watershed, working tirelessly to steer the direction of its management plan.
Joining the BCWMC means committing to a three-year term and attending one meeting a month. Those with a heart for conservation and community service, take note: the commission requires commissioners to be U.S. citizens, at least 21 years of age, and residents of Minnetonka.
Potential candidates should send a letter of interest to Leslie Yetka, whose email is [email protected]. Applications are due by May 16, strictly before 4:30 PM. More information about the BCWMC and its noble mission can be found on the City of Minnetonka's official website.
