The Monroe Police Department's Traffic Unit recently held an event at Central Academy of Technology and Arts (CATA) to educate young drivers about the dangers of impaired driving.
According to a Facebook post from the Monroe Police Department, the students had the chance to understand the risks of alcohol impairment. Using "drunk goggles", which simulate the vision distortion caused by alcohol.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about drunk driving, a leading cause of motor vehicle fatalities.
