
A man has succumbed to injuries from a road accident that took place last Sunday in Houston, as per Houston police. The 25-year-old male's identity is currently under verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, following the collision that occurred at about 3:55 p.m. at 1000 Retail Road, as reported by the City of Houston.
The incident involved a black Yamaha motorcycle, operated by the deceased, and a blue Chevrolet Silverado. The motorcyclist was heading south on Eastfield Road when he hit the passenger side of the Chevrolet that was moving westbound on Retail Road. The driver of the motorcycle was rushed to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he was later pronounced deceased on Thursday, according to the City of Houston official reports.
Authorities investigating the scene reported that the 21-year-old male driving the Chevrolet did not sustain injuries in the collision. He demonstrated no signs of impairment and after a round of questioning, he was released. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer D. Ortega are overseeing the ongoing investigation into the crash's circumstances, as per the City of Houston.
