
A traffic collision occurred on Sheldon Road in Elk Grove on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:50 p.m. The incident, involving a motorcycle and an SUV, took place in the 8100 block of Sheldon Road. First responders were at the scene, according to the City of Elk Grove.
A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Sheldon Road when a white SUV making a left turn collided with the rider, who was traveling eastbound. Emergency responders provided immediate medical assistance, but the motorcyclist later died from injuries at a local hospital, as reported by the City of Elk Grove.
The identity of the deceased in a recent Elk Grove crash has not been released, pending notification of next of kin and formal identification by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. "The driver and rear passenger of the SUV were not injured and are cooperating with the investigation as well." There were no other reported injuries.
