Nashville authorities are on the lookout for an individual responsible for vandalizing a Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) safety camera trailer. The act of vandalism occurred last Wednesday at Una Recreation area, WSMV reports. A suspect, who arrived at the park in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, was recorded on surveillance footage shaking an MNPD safety camera, causing significant damage.
The suspect spent about 20 minutes at the scene of the incident. Metro Nashville Police (MNPD) are asking the public for tips to help identify the perpetrator. They have linked a white Jeep Grand Cherokee to the crime, which was caught on camera during this time, as per WKRN.
A post on X from the Metro Nashville Police Department shared further details of the event, stating, "Please help us identify this suspect who vandalized an MNPD Safety Cam trailer at Una Recreation area last Wed (4/16)." The MNPD has encouraged individuals with any leads to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463, with anonymity being an option for tipsters.
