Nashville's historic Jefferson Street will soon feature a vibrant mural thanks to a collaboration between Mayor Freddie O'Connell's Office, Creative Girls Rock®, and AkzoNobel. The Let's Color Nashville event invites the community to help transform the sidewalks at Jefferson Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard into a colorful display.

As per the Mayor's Office release, the mural, designed by Elisheba Mrozik, is part of the city's Tactical Urbanism Program, which seeks to improve public spaces through art. The painting event is scheduled for Saturday starting at 1:15 p.m. with the painting process expected to conclude by 5:30 p.m. at 800 Jefferson Street. Parking will be available on 9th Avenue and at the Nashville Farmer's Market.

AkzoNobel is donating protective coatings for the mural, marking the first time the company has contributed to the Let's Color project. Creative Girls Rock® is leading the effort, with artists including Elisheba Mrozik, Christian Green, Shadale Smith, and Leandra Crystal. The event is family-friendly, with chalk provided for children to participate.

The mural is part of an effort to revitalize Jefferson Street, an area once known for its musical heritage.
