As the Dallas Zoo continues to evolve and expand, a new addition is on the horizon aimed at enhancing visitor convenience. Currently under construction is a four-story parking garage designed to accommodate 600 vehicles, addressing the longstanding need for additional guest parking. The Dallas Zoo's COO, Sean Green, recently shared progress updates on the $15 million structure with city officials. According to a bulletin from the City of Dallas, the garage is set to open this summer, promising to improve the overall guest experience.
During a preview, Dallas Park and Recreation leaders, who included Director John D. Jenkins and Board Members Maria Hasbany and Dr. Glynn Newman, were briefed on the development. "Construction on a four-story, 600-car guest parking garage is underway at the Dallas Zoo," says the report from the City of Dallas. This project represents a significant investment in the zoo's infrastructure, ensuring that visitors can enjoy easier access and better traffic flow during their visits.
The Dallas Zoo, renowned for its collection and conservation efforts, has long faced challenges with parking, especially on peak attendance days. This new garage is a strategic response to that issue, providing not just more parking spaces but also a more structured and organized approach to managing the influx of guests. As per the City of Dallas, Dallas Zoo's COO, Sean Green, noted, "Today Dallas Park and Recreation leaders got a preview of the $15 million project that is expected to open this summer."
