
A man has died from injuries he sustained during an assault at a North Las Vegas apartment complex, police are looking for the suspect or suspects responsible for the homicide.
The North Las Vegas Police Department (NLVPD) was called to the scene around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, at the 2100 block of Bassler Street, which is in the vicinity of East Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, News 3 LV reports. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult male with life-threatening injuries consistent with a battery involving a deadly weapon, the injuries were caused by a battery involving a deadly weapon stated by 8 News Now.
The victim was rushed to UMC Trauma where, unfortunately, he later died from his injuries. The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identification and the exact cause and manner of death after notifying the next of kin.
Following the incident, the suspect or suspects fled the area before NLVPD officers could intervene, according to investigators. The NLVPD's detectives are actively engaged in the investigation, looking to bring those responsible to justice, this case is now being actively investigated.
