According to the NWS, there is a 60% chance of showers later today, mainly after 4 p.m., with east winds between 5 and 15 mph. Precipitation amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, as outlined in the Hazardous Weather Outlook.
As the evening approaches and extends into the night, the chances of precipitation ratchet up to 90%, with the possibility of a thunderstorm before 4 a.m., then a persistence of showers into the early hours, wind speeds are expected to intensify, breezing through at 15-20 mph with gusts reaching up to 30 mph, while rainfall could accumulate between a quarter and half an inch.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s weather, there is a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 a.m., with a slight chance of showers continuing between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy, with temperatures reaching near 55 degrees and winds shifting from south to west in the afternoon, potentially gusting up to 35 mph. Conditions are expected to clear somewhat by tomorrow night, becoming mostly clear with lows around 37 degrees and a west wind at 5 to 15 mph.
The week proceeds with a forecast that sees a 20% chance of showers Tuesday afternoon, with this likelihood increasing to 60% by nighttime, the potential for thunderstorms also creeps onto the scene; Wednesday offers a brief respite of mostly sunny skies albeit with a 20 percent shot at afternoon showers, temperatures are anticipated to be notably warmer with highs nudging into the low 60s, despite these fluctuations in precipitation, a relatively steady wind pattern is predicted, originating from the south before turning east.
According to the Hazardous Weather Outlook provided by the NWS, while there is no call for spotter activation, the potential for additional thunderstorms remains midweek. The forecast includes a mix of partly sunny and mostly cloudy days, with varying chances of showers and intermittent thunderstorms expected throughout the week.
