In a straightforward dispensation of justice in Clackamas County Circuit Court, Christopher Dylan Guy, a 55-year-old registered sex offender from the Oak Grove area, found his freedom curtailed once again as he was handed a 30-month prison sentence for his latest criminal transgressions. A registered sex offender since a 2007 conviction, Guy's prior offenses included Sexual Abuse in the First and Third Degrees, involving a victim under 14, which landed him a 75-month prison term.
According to a release from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Guy was convicted of Luring a Minor and Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the Second Degree, both Class C felonies. These recent charges stemmed from his activity in December 2023, where Guy engaged, under the belief that he was interacting with a 15-year-old girl, in sexually explicit conversations over the internet with the intent to set up a face-to-face meeting. The individual on the other end of these communications was, in actuality, a detective with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Throughout December 2023, the defendant initiated and carried out the illicit and sexually charged conversations. He was sentenced on Monday, facing the consequences of his actions as the judicial system reaffirmed society's intolerance for such predatory behavior.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Russell Amos, who prosecuted the case against Guy, stressed the gravity of these offenses. The 2007 case, involving a girl under the age of 14, necessitated his registration as a sex offender—a status that Guy will find perpetuated following his most recent conviction.
