According to a recent social media post from the department's official account, the team underwent a demanding evaluation process over the past weekend, simulating the challenging conditions they would face in an actual disaster scenario.
The test involved locating victims within the confines of concrete rubble piles, a situation that is not unfamiliar to the harsh realities these teams can face during an emergency. "K9 Zero located all 5 victims across two separate concrete rubble piles—proving once again why they’re an elite search and rescue team," the department proudly stated on Facebook.
