A three-car collision in Peoria resulted in the death of one man and left others severely injured, authorities said. According to 12News, the crash involving a Hyundai Elantra, a BMW X3, and an Infiniti I35 took place at the intersection of 107th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane.

It was reported that the collision occurred when the driver of the Hyundai, traveling westbound, failed to yield at the stop sign. Sustaining extensive damage, Sky12 footage showed the two vehicles, with the force of the impact pushing the BMW into an Infiniti which was approaching from the opposite direction. The police have confirmed that impairment has been ruled out in this incident.

FOX 10 Phoenix detailed that the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. and the driver of the Hyundai Elantra collided with the BMW X3, which was subsequently hit by the Infiniti. The emergency services pronounced the BMW driver, identified as Thomas Savovich of Surprise, Arizona, dead at the scene.

Authorities have noted that among the injured, a juvenile was involved, who was a passenger in the BMW, along with the Infiniti driver taken to the hospital with serious injuries. As per the statement given to dispatchers, the driver of the Hyundai was transported to a healthcare facility presenting with minor injuries. The Peoria Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is conducting a thorough investigation of the matter.
