Tragedy struck Clackamas County last Friday when two individuals aboard a motorcycle collided with a vehicle on S Springwater Road. The incident, occurring around 5:07 p.m. in the 24000 block, was responded to by Sheriff's Office deputies, who quickly assessed the dire situation. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the 2022 Harley Davidson cruiser's motorcycle crashed as a 2024 Toyota Camry turned into a driveway.

The collision proved fatal for the motorcycle operator, 64-year-old Brent Bjorkman of Oregon City. A deputy at the scene initiated immediate lifesaving attempts, but Bjorkman succumbed to his injuries. His passenger, whose identity has not been disclosed, was rushed to a Portland hospital with critical injuries. The Camry driver did not sustain serious injuries and remained at the scene, cooperating with investigators.

Diving deeper into the aftermath, an inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) team was dispatched to the crash site to aid the investigation. Support was also rendered by Estacada Fire, American Medical Response, the Lake Oswego Police Department, the Milwaukie Police Department, and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
