The Oak Ridge High School community in Orlando is grappling with the loss of a 16-year-old student, who was killed in a tragic traffic incident yesterday morning. According to WFTV, the student was struck by a vehicle around 8 a.m. while en route to school, near West Oak Ridge Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the girl, whose identity has not been disclosed, was hit by a 2012 Dodge Avenger as she attempted to cross the road. She was not using a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, and she was pronounced dead after being transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, says MyNews13.
