On March 30, a homeowner on the 700 block of Cindy Lane reported an unsettling discovery upon returning home: an unknown man hiding under their bed. The intruder, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5'7" and weighing around 120 lbs with dark hair and dressed in dark clothing, managed to flee before police could apprehend him. The individual's motives remain unclear.
Local law enforcement responded to the call at precisely 8:11 PM but, despite an exhaustive search, could not locate the suspect. They canvassed the neighborhood in search of evidence and, possibly, security camera footage that could shed light on the suspect's identity or whereabouts. "Officers patrolled the area and were unsuccessful in locating him," disclosed a social media post from the Petaluma Police Department. The following day, with daylight on their side, officers once again scoured the vicinity, maintaining their efforts to piece together clues relating to the incident.
