Volunteers can find participating parks through a map and list on the Love Your Park website, which also provides a calendar view for scheduling. Registration is required for events with limited spots. The spring signature site this year is Carroll Park in West Philadelphia on May 10. "Every volunteer event is a little different depending on the park," says the event page. Volunteers will be given tools and gloves at the sites. Those unable to attend can find additional volunteer opportunities through over 140 Park Friends Groups and the Fairmount Park Conservancy's volunteer workdays, as reported by the City of Philadelphia.
Last year, volunteers shared positive feedback, with one stating, "Met some absolutely wonderful people. Cannot wait for another opportunity to participate. This park rocks!" and another saying, "It was well led and I felt like my contribution made a difference." The event helps improve local parks and foster community connections. Support for the initiative comes from TD Bank, PECO, and Independence Blue Cross. Organizers also encourage participation in year-round park stewardship programs for those unable to attend this year’s Love Your Park Week, as stated by the City of Philadelphia.
