In a determined effort to redefine itself post the dissolution of its global parent nonprofit, the former Phoenix chapter of Girls in Tech has reincorporated as TechWomenAZ Inc. Despite initiating operations with limited funds, they have not lost their edge in striving to support women in technology. TechWomenAZ is currently operating as WomenTechmakers PHX, a part of Google's Women Techmakers program, an initiative that pours resources into career growth, mentorship, idea exchange, and events for women in tech. Melissa Drake, the organization's operations manager, reinforced this sentiment in an interview with AZ Inno, stating, "We recognize that this transition marks a new beginning, and with limited funds and resources, we are essentially starting from scratch."

The evolution of brand identity is not just a trend in the nonprofit sector but is also making waves in the corporate sector. Phoenix Group has unveiled a "new and modern" visual identity, as reported by Money Marketing. This change is part of their transition from a traditional closed-book consolidator to a purpose-led business with growing consumer brands. The Group CEO, Andy Briggs, conveyed the rebrand's relevance, asserting that it symbolizes the transformation into "a purpose-led business," aiming to help everyone secure a life of possibilities.

Aligning themselves under the Google Women Techmakers brand, TechWomenAZ has already begun to strategically lay down roots in the local community. The local chapter's LinkedIn group boasts nearly 270 members, with 30 individuals having officially joined the nonprofit. Looking forward, TechWomenAZ plans to host at least one event per quarter this year, with their first event scheduled for April 16 at the CO+HOOTS coworking space in downtown Phoenix. The event boasts an impressive panel including key figures like Aditi Madane, Founder of Upsilon Labs, and Christine Mackay, representing the City of Phoenix, according to the details shared by AZ Inno.

Concurrently, Phoenix Group's journey through a brand overhaul is set to visibly connect their consumer divisions under one umbrella, an endorsement approach that will clearly show that brands like Standard Life and SunLife are "part of Phoenix Group." This rebranding effort, which includes a redesigned logo and updated color scheme, conducted by Moving Brands, will unfurl over the next few months. The rebrand's intention is for Phoenix to better engage its audience and support them in facing a future with numerous possibilities, with the promise of showing the collective strength of their brands, as explained by Money Marketing.
