Last night, Pittsburgh Police were called to a scene in the neighborhood of Bloomfield, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head in the 5100 block of Cypress Street, according to details shared in a public safety statement from the city's official website. The incident, which sent the man to the hospital in critical condition, occurred at around 11:30 p.m. Despite his injury, the victim was remarkably alert and able to speak with emergency medical personnel upon their arrival.
Sources from the Pittsburgh Police Department indicated that after being shot, the critically injured individual managed to flee to a nearby residence, seeking aid, and it was there that the resident, shocked yet responsive to the urgent knock at their door, called 911 to help the man fighting for his life.
At the scene, investigators, including the Mobile Crime Unit, collected valuable evidence consisting of a firearm and multiple shell casings.
