Ready for some good ol' family fun? The City of Jacksonville invites you and your little ones to the upcoming Preschool Palooza. It's an event where children will have the chance to see and touch real-life community helper vehicles. Set in a Touch-a-Truck style gathering, this interactive experience is designed to spark young imaginations and foster an appreciation for the everyday machines that keep our city ticking.

Brought to the community by PNC, Preschool Palooza will let your kids get up close and personal with vehicles they might only have seen from afar or read about in books. The event, inspired by the illustrative world of "Tow Truck Joe" and his canine companion, "Patch the Pup," is sure to turn the wheels of joy in children's hearts, as per the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government Facebook post. With the opportunity to drive around in a kid-sized electric car provided by Mini Me Motor Club, they'll get a taste of the road under safe and controlled conditions.

This free event is more than just about fun and games, it's an educational journey too. A tour of the new River City Readers Bookmobile will bring the joy of reading to the forefront, and the best part—according to a post from City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government, the first 200 families will receive a FREE copy of "Tow Truck Joe" by June Sobel. As if that weren't enough to get families down to Lonnie C. Miller Regional Park, free "cookie crunch" ice cream from About Time Creamery will be on offer as well to sweeten the deal.

The event isn't just child's play—Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (complete with K-9 units and mounted patrols), Waste Pro, and Safe Harbor Towing will lend their presence. Inviting the kids to interact with these important services, they will gain a first-hand understanding of what these departments do every day. Add to this mix, straddling the saddle of a horse from the mounted patrols, they will share moments with those who protect and serve our city—almost as if heroes from their storybooks leapt into reality.

Mark your calendars for this community enriching event—it's all set to roll out on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. The venue is Lonnie C. Miller Regional Park, located at 7689 Price Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32209.
