The Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) has recently achieved accreditation from the Arizona Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ALEAP). This acknowledgment comes scarcely three years after the department's formation in January 2022 and signifies its commitment to providing a high quality of law enforcement services to its community, as reported by the Town of Queen Creek.
During the accreditation process, the QCPD underwent a detailed review of its policies, procedures, and overall operations. The ALEAP accreditation aims to foster public trust and strives for operational excellence amongst law enforcement agencies. "Achieving ALEAP’s high standards for professional excellence is a major accomplishment for our department," Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice said in a statement obtained by the Town of Queen Creek. He attributes the success to the collective efforts of the department and the backing of the Town Council and community.
By securing ALEAP accreditation, QCPD joins a group of law enforcement agencies that hold themselves accountable to high standards of professionalism and service. This recognition entails that the department will engage in periodic reviews and renew accreditation every four years, maintaining their promise to serve the Queen Creek community with the utmost dedication.
