A 17-year-old Richmond girl is fighting for her life after being critically injured in a vehicular collision in Casco Township. The unfortunate incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, as reported by ClickOnDetroit. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office detailed that the incident happened at the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Division Road.
Investigators found that the teenager was eastbound on Division Road in a 2016 Jeep Cherokee when she failed to yield to a southbound 2009 Ford F-150, resulting in a collision that left her trapped inside her vehicle. She was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Efforts to quickly extricate her from the wreckage were led by authorities including Michigan State Police and the Richmond Fire Department.
