Motorists are facing detours as the exit ramp from 270 West to 23 South and the 270 East exit ramp to 23 North are both closed due to the high water emergency. Vehicles can only exit onto 270 East from 23 North, adding more complexity to the morning commute. The situation is fluid as officials continue assessing roadway conditions and safety. The Sheriff's Office is urging the public to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
"Please avoid the area - do not drive through the high water," the Franklin County Sheriff's Office warned in their Facebook update.
