A two-vehicle collision on Sunday morning in Mecosta County left a Rockford woman with injuries that necessitated a hospital visit. According to WOODTV, deputies responded to the scene at about 9:30 a.m. on 8 Mile Road near Old State Road. A 25-year-old man from Fruitport abruptly rear-ended a 47-year-old Rockford man and a woman as they waited to turn into a gas station.
The woman involved in the crash was taken to Big Rapids Corewell Health Hospital, reported UpNorthLive, due to minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the Rockford man and the 25-year-old driver from Fruitport reported minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
Details about the crash came to light as the sheriff's office released statements, confirmed by MLive, indicating that the rear-end collision was severe.
