
A recent incident in Rocklin involved the police department's Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving team. A social media post by the Rocklin Police Department stated that a suspicious person was seen in a shopping complex, which led to an arrest and the discovery of multiple contraband items.
A suspect was located after a citizen reported seeing him fleeing toward a freeway, prompting an investigation by the Rocklin Police Department's Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving unit. Authorities determined the individual had been staying at a nearby hotel with his girlfriend, who is currently on Tehama County Probation. During a probation search of the hotel room, officers discovered weapons and drugs. "A probation search of the hotel room yielded a 9mm handgun, meth, and drug paraphernalia," the Rocklin Police said.
A man on Post Release Community Supervision out of Tehama County was arrested by Rocklin Police after he tried to escape through a field and hid under grass and mud. Officers from Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving, a patrol unit, and drone support located and detained him. According to the Rocklin Police Department on their Facebook page, “The subject was arrested and booked for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felony drug possession, various drug charges, resisting, and providing a false ID.”
