Sacramento firefighter Adam Blankenship has been arrested on multiple serious charges, including sexual assault offenses. He was taken into custody while on duty at Sacramento Fire Department Station 12. The charges include illegal recording without consent, digital penetration by force or without consent, attempted rape, sexual battery, and continuous molestation of a child under 14 years old, as confirmed by KCRA.
The Sacramento Fire Department addressed the recent arrest of one of its firefighters. "We are aware of the recent arrest of one of our firefighters, who was on duty on April 9," the department stated. "It is important to note that the arrest is related to activities that occurred off duty and not in connection with their role as a member of our department," as reported by KCRA. The incident has raised concerns within the community.
Investigations into alleged sexual assaults began in early March, involving multiple counties. Adam Blankenship is being held without bail at the El Dorado County Jail. The Sacramento Fire Department has placed Blankenship on leave and is cooperating with law enforcement, also conducting an internal investigation.
