
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has launched a week-long operation focused on homelessness in the Sacramento area. The operation began in the northern parts of the county, including Rio Linda, Elverta, North Highlands, Arden-Arcade, and Carmichael, with the involvement of their Homeless Outreach Team, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced an operation that involves both enforcement and outreach. The operation includes several agencies, such as Sacramento County Park Rangers, Sacramento County Probation, the California Department of Corrections, the Sheriff’s Office Problem Oriented Policing team, Homeless Improvement Program team, Gang Suppression Unit, SAFE Team, and Deputies from the North and Central Patrol Divisions. This collaboration combines law enforcement and supportive services.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, the Homeless Outreach Team has been working to assist individuals experiencing homelessness. The team has engaged in various outreach activities and continues to address the needs of vulnerable populations in the community.
