The National Weather Service Sacramento reports that warm weather will continue in the Sacramento Valley through the week. By late Friday, a change in conditions may bring light showers, isolated thunderstorms north of Interstate 80, and gusty winds through the weekend, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The Sacramento Valley is expected to have dry and warm weather this week, with a “Probability of high temperatures > 80F (Wednesday-Friday): 50-90% across the Delta, Valley, and foothills, highest probabilities on Thursday,” according to the National Weather Service Sacramento. On Friday evening, there is a 10–20% chance of light showers and thunderstorms in the northern part of the valley. Northerly winds are also expected, with gusts over 40 mph on Sunday and a 40–80% chance.
The National Weather Service expects VFR conditions to continue for the next 24 hours with light winds below 12 knots at nearby TAF sites. Wind gusts on Sunday may be "slightly higher." Temperatures over the weekend are expected to decrease before a gradual warming trend begins early next week, bringing near to slightly above normal temperatures.
