A 31-year-old man from San Bernardino County, identified as Oscar Silva Morales, has been arrested in connection to a series of sexual assaults. As reported by KTLA, the Fontana Police Department believes Morales used dating apps and social media, particularly Snapchat, under the usernames "thatboii_laloo" and "Joey242599," to lure women into meeting him before assaulting them.
Morales allegedly carried out these assaults in his vehicle, after which he is suspected of being involved in multiple cases throughout San Bernardino and Orange counties. He has been living transiently, residing in his vehicle and at various residences within Southern California, which has prompted concerns from investigators that additional victims may be undiscovered. The Fontana Police Department has issued a photograph of Morales, hoping it will elicit more individuals to come forward, as mentioned by CBS Los Angeles.
The arrest took place on April 17, details of which were shared by the Fontana Police Department via a Facebook post, announcing that detectives from the sex crimes unit had taken Morales into custody.
