
In what could have been a distressing scenario unfolded to be a successful rescue operation, the San Francisco Fire Department completed a cliff rescue at Mile Rock. Per the official social media update from the San Francisco Fire Department, an adult and a dog were in a precarious situation on the Mile Rock Trail within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Even though the adult was not injured, the SFFD had to set up a technical rope rescue to bring both the human and the four-legged companion to safety. With the dog injured and requiring rescue, the response by the fire department entailed a level of expertise, ensuring that both were given immediate attention. The adult and the dog, with the dog clutching at a precarious situation on the edge of a cliff, needed prompt response from the trained professionals.
The San Francisco Fire Department's prompt action and specialized skills came to the fore as they executed what they refer to as a High Angle Rope Rescue. Involving a team of 22 in a meticulous and calculated fashion, they managed to bring both the adult and the dog to safety without any injuries to the human.
