Local authorities closed the road to clear the wreckage and ensure safety, has since reopened, as announced in a social media post from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.
The incident led to significant traffic disruptions, prompting law enforcement to advise drivers to use alternate routes during the closure. A detour was set up at Old Lebanon Dirt Road, connecting East Division and North Mt. Juliet Road. Despite the delays, the roadway was cleared and reopened for travel by 3:00 a.m. "Please be advised that East Division Street at Clemmons Road is closed indefinitely due to a wreck involving a semi-truck," the Wilson County Sheriff's Office originally posted, alerting the public of the situation mere hours before it was resolved.
