
An incident occurred Sunday morning in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood when a car broke the tranquil scene by crashing onto an apartment patio. This unusual event is now under the scrutiny of the local authorities.
According to a statement obtained by SPD Blotter, the incident was reported just before 9:00 a.m. on the 800 block of 1st Avenue North, prompting a quick response from both police and Seattle Fire Department personnel. They discovered a senior citizen, aged 77, injured and caught within the confines of his overturned vehicle.
The first responders acted swiftly to free the man from the car and administered immediate medical care. The injured man was then ferried to Harborview Medical Center, with his condition described as serious.
Reports clarify that the driver's car had vaulted over a cement parking barrier and breached a metal railing before plummeting an estimated 12 feet and coming to an abrupt stop upside down on someone's patio space.
