A high-speed chase involving a six-time convicted felon on a motorcycle ended in arrest near Madison Avenue and 78th Street earlier this week. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Antonio Williams was taken into custody after ditching his motorcycle and attempting to flee deputies on foot.

Williams, who was seen wearing a clown face mask during the incident, allegedly initiated the pursuit by operating the motorcycle recklessly and then refusing to stop when signaled by the deputies. The chase concluded on Trenton Street, where Williams abandoned his motorcycle next to a body of water and continued his escape attempt on foot. During the pursuit, deputies noticed Williams discarding a black satchel into the water, which was later recovered.

Contained within the satchel were multiple types of narcotics, including fentanyl and cocaine, as well as a stolen firearm, contributing to the charges Williams is now facing. These charges, as listed by the Sheriff's Office, include reckless driving, arm possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, and armed trafficking in amphetamine among others.

Sheriff Chad Chronister was quoted in a statement made to the public, saying, “This individual made it clear he had no regard for the law or the safety of anyone around him. Driving dangerously, fleeing from law enforcement, and being in possession of a stolen firearm and illegal drugs is the kind of behavior that has no place in our community and that we are committed to keeping off our streets." The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has indicated that this is an active investigation and that updates will be provided through the Public Affairs Office as they become available.
