In light of the upcoming Good Friday holiday, St. Johns County residents should plan ahead as various governmental offices will take a brief hiatus. According to an announcement on the St. Johns County website, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, along with administrative offices such as the Tax Collector’s Office, Property Appraiser’s Office, Supervisor of Elections Office, and Clerk of Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office will be closed on Friday, April 18. Regular services are set to resume on Monday, April 21.
Those looking to indulge in the serenity of books or maybe the frenzy of a late return during the Easter weekend will need to adjust their schedules. Libraries across all St. Johns County branches will shut down on April 18 and, unlike the other offices, will reopen the following day, Saturday, April 19. However, the celebration of Easter Sunday sees the libraries closed once more on April 20, further extending the quiet period until resuming standard operations on April 21.
For county residents, the logistics of waste management remains uninterrupted. There will be no delays in garbage and recycling collection schedules, ensuring public services remain a constant amidst the holiday celebrations. Those who frequent the Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road transfer stations can breathe easy, as these facilities will hold on to their standard business hours.
St. Johns County also encourages residents to stay informed on waste management through tech-friendly solutions. By using the Recycle Coach app or visiting the website provided in the announcement, locals can access curbside collection schedules with ease, sign up for alerts, and educate themselves on the correct disposal of various household materials.
