In a show of community spirit and service this Easter weekend, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office took part in festivities and outreach efforts across the county. As detailed in a social media post, the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard, in a collaborative effort with local fire and police departments, took the lead in the annual Easter Parade. This year's event, graced by blue uniforms and polished brass, wove its way through the heart of St. Augustine, offering a spectacle of disciplined pageantry to those gathered to celebrate the occasion.
Good Friday also saw the Sheriff's Office expand their reach beyond ceremonial duties. The Community Engagement and Recruiting teams, together with Chaplains, joined hands with volunteers from Epic Cure, Inc. to distribute food to families in need. "On Good Friday, the SJSO Community, Engagement and Recruiting teams, along with Chaplains, gave back to the community by assisting Epic Cure, Inc. volunteers in serving fresh produce and pantry items to hundreds of families in need," announced the Sheriff's Office on Facebook. The #TeamSJSO hashtag punctuated their message, signifying a collective effort and unity of purpose.
