Sterling Heights is on the brink of cultivational charm with its latest endeavor—the Community Garden at Nelson Park. According to an announcement on the City of Sterling Heights' website, the public is invited to celebrate the garden's grand opening tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Promising a free evening filled with entertainment and food, the event aims to become deeply rooted in the hearts and schedules of residents.
The opening promises to fully pack the night with diverse attractions, including food trucks like The Great Greek and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, a live DJ to set the beats, selfie stations for the Instagram-hungry attendees, and giveaways that feature two garden beds to be raffled off.
"Be among the first to explore the brand-new Community Garden, Children’s Garden, Butterfly Conservatory, and stunning public art installations," boasts the city's announcement. It's an opportunity not only to observe but also to get their hands dirty, as garden beds will be available for purchase for those looking to start planting their seeds this season.
