
A domestic disturbance call led Stockton Police to a barricade situation on S Fresno Avenue yesterday. According to an update from the Stockton Police Department's official Facebook page, a woman was found with non-life-threatening injuries on the 1800 block of Ridgemark Lane following a domestic incident that took place on April 29 at around 11:17 a.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers were informed that the male suspect had fled to a familiar residence in the 2400 block of S Fresno Avenue, where he had barricaded himself, officers proceeded to set up a perimeter, in an attempt to make contact with the individual who may still be in possession of a firearm.
The standoff prompted law enforcement to advise the public to steer clear of the area as they addressed the situation. The Stockton Police's communication called the investigation "ongoing," signaling that more updates would be forthcoming as the incident continued to unfold. The initial alert emphasized the importance of public safety by requesting residents to avoid the area.
