Authorities in Suisun City are investigating a shooting that took place last Saturday on the 500 block of Coot Lane. According to a social media post by the Suisun City Police Department, a 19-year-old male claimed he was shot during an altercation outside his home. His injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening, and he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
At the scene, police discovered a firearm, which was later revealed to have been reported stolen from Colusa County. In a twist of circumstances, the weapon was found in the possession of the injured youth. Despite the effort to meticulously gather information, investigators could not immediately verify the involvement of others in the incident after canvassing the neighborhood.
Following the recovery of the weapon, the wounded young male will reportedly face charges for having it. At this point, no further injuries related to the conflict have been disclosed.
