
Authorities have reported a stabbing incident on U Street in Northwest, leading to the apprehension of a suspect by the Metropolitan Police Department. Last Sunday morning, Third District officers were called to the 1200 block of U Street, Northwest, following a distress report about a stabbing at approximately 12:19 a.m. On arrival, officers discovered two victims, an adult male and a juvenile male, both injured but conscious and breathing.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department's statement, the victims were quickly tended to by DC Fire and EMS and subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for their non-life-threatening wounds. In the midst of the crime scene management, law enforcement successfully arrested an individual believed to be connected to the violent occurrence.
The current condition of the victims is stable after receiving care for their injuries. The names of those involved have not been released, as the investigation continues to unfold. The Metropolitan Police Department has not yet provided details on the motive behind the stabbing or the circumstances that led to the arrest.
