A 21-year-old man, Domingo Santana-Ochoa, was arrested earlier this week in connection with a bank robbery in Oakdale. The Oakdale Police Department said he is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank on West F Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to a robbery in progress after receiving real-time updates from bank employees. The suspect fled on foot but was caught without incident. The Oakdale Police Department stated, "Thanks to the rapid transmission of information through Live911 and swift coordination by responding officers," according to Fox40. Witnesses said the suspect carried a blue bag and told employees to get down, claiming he had a gun.
Santana-Ochoa, a resident of Oakdale, was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of robbery and burglary. He allegedly took about $1,200, which was later recovered by police. Two witnesses identified him as the suspect, as reported by CBSNews Sacramento. He said he had a gun, but police did not say that a gun was found. No one was injured.
