A suspected drunk driver involved in a serious accident was arrested last week after deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the scene of a crash on FM 1960 Road, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Facebook page. The at-fault driver, identified as Kala Johnson, showed signs of intoxication at the scene of the recent accident on April 5, 2025, and reportedly admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to the crash.
Showing multiple signs of being impaired, Johnson was traveling eastbound at what officials described as a "high rate of speed" when she lost control, crossing over traffic and hitting the concrete barrier on the opposite side of the road. Following the incident, she was taken to the hospital by emergency services. A blood warrant was later issued and executed at the medical facility to determine her alcohol level, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
In a worrying revelation, it was uncovered that she was already wanted on an outstanding warrant for a previous driving while intoxicated (DWI) charge. "Kala Johnson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and her open arrest warrant," as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4. The total bond for the two charges has been set at $7,501.00 out of County Court 2.
