
A woman has been left in critical condition following a vehicle accident on West Dallas Street in Houston's Fourth Ward neighborhood, with emergency responders having to extricate her from beneath the car. On the scene, identified by Click2Houston, officers poured out what appeared to be alcoholic beverages, suggesting a suspected DWI case. The woman, found pinned under the vehicle around 9:15 p.m., was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries that threaten her life. Rushing to assist at the crash site, Houston Fire Department units called for additional support from the police. The driver, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, is being held under suspicion of driving while intoxicated, with the potential for further charges pending the woman's condition.
