Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23, who went missing in Waldorf, Maryland, on March 31. The young mother of two was reported missing by her boyfriend on April 2. The Charles County Sheriff's Office has been investigating the case and has found "unusual and suspicious activity" at the home she shared with her boyfriend and several other individuals, WUSA9 reported.
Upon executing a search warrant at Guerra's residence on Adams Court, she was not found, and detectives described finding federal documents that appeared to be counterfeit. WJLA noted that Guerra's boyfriend was later taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when they determined the documents were fraudulent and that he was in the country illegally.
The specific circumstances of Guerra's disappearance have led investigators to suspect foul play. A family SUV, a red Toyota 4Runner, at her house on the day she was reported missing has been particularly interesting. According to a WTOP article, officials are asking for the public's assistance in providing any information on the whereabouts of the red vehicle between March 31 and April 2, especially in remote or isolated areas.
As the investigation progresses, there has been no update on the status of the couple's children.
