
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office were called to a disturbance on the 22900 block of Banquo Drive last Wednesday, where they encountered and detained a woman later identified as Wendy Bess. An ensuing investigation by the officers led to the discovery that Bess had outstanding warrants for Fraud and Theft, according to a Facebook post by Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
In addition to the warrants, it was found that Bess was in possession of 2 grams of methamphetamine, a controlled substance. Being caught with the illicit drug added to her charges, and, she landed in Harris County Jail. The bonds for her release totaled $5,600.00, as reported by Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4 has actively encouraged the community to stay informed about local incidents by following their official Facebook page. They further provide a downloadable mobile app, "C4 NOW", which relays live feeds on crime, arrests, and traffic incidents.
The case has moved forward to the 230th District Court and County Court 7, where Bess will face her charges. Harris County Constable Precinct 4 statement on Facebook read, "Wendy Bess was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the warrants, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance."
