A tragic incident in St. Clair Shores has taken a life and left a community looking for answers. According to reports from CBS News Detroit, a female was found dead from "unnatural causes" after police responded to an altercation on Saturday afternoon near 11 Mile Road and Roy Street. A male was subsequently taken into custody following the discovery.
The St. Clair Shores Police Department, while securing the scene, found the woman who had passed, the victim of a suspected homicide. Awaiting charges, the man arrested is currently being held at the Macomb County Jail. In response to the incident, the police have initiated a homicide investigation. Neighborhood sources speaking to ClickOnDetroit indicate that the altercation involved an adult son and his mother, both residents of the multi-family home where the incident transpired. One neighbor, seeking anonymity, expressed concern about the son's history, "We tried to get him out of that condo because we knew he was trouble,” adding that the son had prior altercations with his mother and other neighbors.
