
The man suspected of a deadly shooting in Portland last month has been caught in Texas, as confirmed by authorities. Che Bell, a 35-year-old Portland resident, was arrested in Killeen, Texas, by the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, April 7, as reported by KWTX. The arrest follows the March 9 shooting that claimed the life of 33-year-old Kevin Rhinehart in an apartment complex in East Portland's Hazelwood neighborhood.
The Bell County Jail, where Bell is currently held, has him facing charges including second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, this information comes from KGW, furthermore, while he awaits extradition back to Oregon, the exact time of his extradition it remains unclear, though the police had found Rhinehart deceased from a gunshot wound after responding to the scene at approximately 7 p.m. on the date of the incident.
