A 15-year-old boy was the victim of a fatal shooting in northeast Memphis, a situation that has left the local community in shock and prompted a Memphis Police Department investigation.
Initial reports from WREG indicated that Memphis Police responded to the shooting before 6 p.m. in the 3900 block of Macon Road, near the Berclair neighborhood. The details of the event became clearer after the victim, seeking assistance, was driven to a nearby fire station. Thereafter, officials confirmed the shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Grahamdale.
Further coverage by FOX13 Memphis added that after being transported to Regional One Health in critical condition, the boy later died. Tragically, the efforts by first responders and medical professionals were not enough to save the young victim's life. The Memphis Police Department has not yet released information on a possible suspect arising from this incident.
