
Three individuals were injured in a shooting incident at the Greenbriar Apartments in Frayser, as reported by local authorities. Action News 5 noted that the shooting occurred last night, with the victims subsequently seeking treatment at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Details about the incident emerged when a man, reportedly inside his apartment at the time of the altercation, heard arguing followed by the sound of gunfire. He then discovered three victims wounded outside the apartment. According to FOX13 Memphis, the witness "loaded the women into his car and headed to Baptist East." The victims were in non-critical condition and, are all related to each other.
At the hospital, the first and third victims recounted to police that after hearing an argument, they heard a single shot before realizing they had been shot. The second victim reported a similar sequence of events, telling officers "she heard people arguing, then heard a gunshot, and her leg became numb," as per the account to Action News 5. Police have been investigating but have not yet found shell casings at the scene and neighbors reported not hearing any disturbance.
The shooting victims included a brother and sister, and their cousin, one of whom was shot in the upper left thigh and right knee, another in the left hand, and the third in the left thigh, according to information from WREG. The Memphis Police Department also found evidence at the scene, including bloodstains on the stairs and in front of the apartment, which appeared to have been partially washed away with a cleaning solution.
The incident has not led to any arrests as of the latest reports.
