
In a move that marks a significant career milestone, Tiffany Sailem has been appointed the new Deputy Warden of Security at Johnson State Prison, as announced by the Georgia Department of Corrections. The promotion, set to take effect today, places Sailem in charge of supervising staff and overseeing the daily management of 1,573 male offenders within the facility.
With a track record of dedication and leadership within the GDC, Sailem's rise up the ranks was commended by Commissioner Tyrone Oliver, who noted, "Tiffany has proven herself to be a strong and reliable leader at every stage of her career." Commissioner Oliver expressed confidence in her abilities, saying, "We are certain she will excel and continue to uphold the GDC mission as she advances to the next phase of her professional journey," in a statement obtained by the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Sailem's tenure at Johnson State Prison commenced in 2006 when she joined as a Correctional Officer. Climbing through the ranks, she exhibited considerable skill and commitment, holding positions such as Sergeant, Lieutenant, and eventually assuming the role of Medical Unit Manager. Her experience is complemented by an impressive array of training, including various levels of management and supervisory courses as well as a diploma in Criminal Justice Technology from an accredited institution.
Her qualifications extend to an educational background that has adequately prepared her for the multifaceted demands of prison management. Sailem completed Basic Correctional Officer Training, Basic Management Training, Sergeant’s Academy, Lieutenant’s Academy, Supervision I, II, and III courses, and participated in the Professional Management Program at Columbus State University, as highlighted by the Georgia Department of Corrections' announcement. These credentials underscore a steadfast commitment to her role in corrections and the advancement of the department's objectives.
